Review of the Food Hygiene Information Scheme and exploration of a Consumer Information Scheme
Overview
Food Standards Scotland (FSS) are reviewing the Food Hygiene Information Scheme (FHIS) and want to know what food business operators/food outlets think of this scheme.
FSS particularly want to find out what food businesses like and dislike about how FHIS assessment information is currently shared with consumers.
Findings from the survey will help FSS consider whether any changes are required to the scheme so that it is more useful to both food businesses and consumers.
Why your views matter
We are asking you to take part in this survey as a food outlet in Scotland who is impacted by the Food Hygiene Information Scheme. Your experiences of the FHIS and how you use it will inform our decision making and ensure any changes made to how consumers are informed about hygiene can also support business compliance.
What happens next
We will use the information you provide us to inform our decision making about the Food Hygiene Information Scheme and any potential changes to the scheme.
