Overview

Food Standards Scotland (FSS) is conducting a review of the food and feed commodities contained within the Annexes to Commission Implementing (EU) Regulation 2019/1793 as amended by The Official Controls (Import of High Risk Food and Feed of Non-Animal origin) Amendment (Scotland) Regulations 2022. Regulation 2019/1793 sets temporary increases of official controls and emergency measures governing the entry into Great Britain of food and feed from certain countries. We would welcome your views on our proposed amendments.

We are seeking comments from food and feed businesses, local authorities, and other stakeholders with an interest in food and feed safety on the proposed amendments. Feedback will be considered in further development of the proposals.
